NEW DELHI: A 48-year-old nursing attendant at Safdarjung Hospital allegedly committed suicide. The body was found hanging on Tuesday morning and no
suicide note
was recovered, police said. T he deceased, Sanjay Kumar, was a resident of Rohini's Vijay Vihar and posted at the out-patient department.

Police received a call around 9am regarding the
suicide
on the fifth floor of the
OPD
. When they reached the spot, they found Kumar's body hanging from the fan.
Police were informed that Kumar was working on 8am to 4pm shift and was tasked with locking the doctor's room and handing the keys to the security in-charge. "It was revealed that he came on Monday but didn't deposit the keys and also didn't return home," police said.
The security in-charge allegedly tried to contact him and his family but his whereabouts could not be known, they added. A postmortem was conducted and the body was handed over to the family on Tuesday.
