Police arrest five syndicate contract killers wanted for multiple murders
New Delhi: The Delhi Police special cell has claimed to have arrested five high-profile contract killers of the Aarzoo-Anmol Bishnoi and Harry Boxer syndicate, who were involved in a slew of killings.
With their arrest, police have averted a contract killing in the making.
The accused were identified as Piyush Piplani (28), Ankush Solanki (23), Kuwarbir (30), Lovepreet Singh (26), and Santokh alias Kapil Khatri (29). They are from Haryana and Punjab.
Additional commissioner of police (special cell) Pramod Kushwaha confirmed the men were primary executors behind three murders — the hit on Inderpreet Singh alias Parry in Chandigarh, the killing of national kabaddi player Sonu Nolta in Haryana, and the killing of Ashu Mahajan, owner of Amritsar's Lion Bar & Restaurant.
The arrests were made by a team led by ACP Dharmendra Kumar.
These five were operating as "ghost hitmen", evading police across Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh, where they were listed among the most wanted criminals. Operating under the instructions of Anmol Bishnoi and Harry Boxer, the group functioned as a cross-border strike team, using sophisticated weapons to eliminate targets deemed hostile to the syndicate's extortion and territorial interests.
Earlier this month, Parry, a close aide of Lawrence Bishnoi and Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar, was chased in Chandigarh's Sector 26 and shot dead. His bullet-riddled body was found in his SUV. In June, Nolta was attacked while sitting in his SUV with a friend and two women. His killers, who were in a car, opened fire, discharging at least 15 rounds. Mahajan was gunned down by two bike-borne men in Sept.
A police officer said Piplani was the lead shooter in the murder of Parry and led the killing of Nolta on June 5 in Pinjore. Police said he is involved in six criminal cases.
Solanki was a shooter in both Parry and Nolta's murders. A non-bailable warrant was pending against him. He is involved in six criminal cases in Haryana.
Kuwarbir was wanted in Parry's murder for driving the tail and getaway vehicle used by Piyush and Ankush. He is involved in six criminal cases in Punjab.
Singh, earlier released on bail, allegedly rejoined associates linked to the syndicate. He is involved in two criminal cases. Santokh was wanted in the murder of Mahajan in Sept 2025 in Amritsar.
Police said they got information that one of the accused in Parry's murder had visited Paharganj. Acting on this, Singh, Khatri and Lovepreet were later arrested near Ring Road at Shanti Van, where they were searching for accommodation previously used by Kuwarbir.
Subsequent intelligence indicated that more associates were expected, leading to the arrests of Piplani and Solanki from the Sarai Kale Khan bus stand.
Four firearms and a large quantity of ammunition were recovered.
