Barh ki Chowki, the restored police post, is expected to be inaugurated in September itself.

Heritage building

In 2006, the Delhi Police found the heritage building in a dilapidated condition.

Restoration in 2 phases​


The restoration was undertaken in 2022 in two phases, said A Vijaya, director and head of Intach’s architectural heritage division.

​Single-storey stone structure

This edifice stands as a one-story stone structure, adorned with an inviting arcade at its entrance, and nestled at the rear are two chambers.

​Restoration cost

Approximately Rs 20 lakh was allocated for the restoration of the building.
