GHAZIABAD: Around a dozen thieves broke into a luxury watch showroom early Sunday morning and made off with watches worth over Rs 3 crore. Police said the incident took place around 4 am at ‘Sai Creation: The Destination for Watches’ in Ahinsa Khand-2, in Indirapuram.

Approximately 671 high-end international brand watches were stolen, including 20 Longines, 90 Rado, 140 Tissot, 7 Tag Heuer, 27 Versace, 31 Movado, 105 Guess, 30 G.C, 63 Citizen, 85 Seiko, 21 Victorinox, 17 Balmain, and 35 Titan Edge. “We have three CCTV recordings of the incident ,” the official added.

The showroom owner, Shyam Sunder Gupta, a resident of Sector 19 in Noida, told TOI that he locked the showroom and went home around 9.30 pm on Saturday. Gupta added that the CCTV footage show a dozen thieves entering and leaving with watches. “The thieves thoroughly searched the showroom for 41 minutes,” he said.

An FIR has been registered under relevant BNS sections.
