Online verification of tenants, maids soon

GHAZIABAD: An online system for conducting verification of

tenants

, drivers, servants and maids, particularly in high-rise apartments, is likely to be ready soon. The decision was taken after senior superintendent of police

Hari Narayan Singh

and SP (City) Akash Tomar held a meeting on Saturday with members of

Citizen Volunteer Force

(CVF) comprising local residents.

“An online system for tenant verification will be devised and we are working on the modalities. As of now, we have asked RWAs to collect verification forms in groups and submit them to the local police station,” said Tomar.

The meeting also focussed on deploying cranes in Indirapuram to tow away illegally parked vehicles and deployment of private security guards to manage traffic during peak hours.

“We suggested the police to make use of security guards from schools during evening hours when there are no classes. Residential societies will also make the security guards available for managing traffic as and when possible. To deal with the mess of illegal parking on roads in Indirapuram, we have recommended for a policy of graded parking fee in malls and government-leased spaces,” said Alok Kumar, president, Federation of Apartment Owners’ Association.

The police officials agreed to the suggestion given by the CVF members and take swift action. “We have more number of cranes now with the municipal corporation which will be put to use for towing away illegally parked vehicles in Indirapuram. However, there is no permanent parking space for cranes available in the area. We are trying to identify space for the cranes,” Tomar told TOI.

The CVF has 1,200 members so far, who have been divided into various zones, and asked to work in close coordination with local police.

A survey is also likely to be undertaken in the city with the help of CVF volunteers to identify locations for placing traffic barriers.
