After four-year break, D D Kosambi Festival of Ideas from Feb 24-28

Panaji: After a brief hiatus of four years, the D D Kosambi Festival of Ideas is scheduled to be held from Feb 24 to 28, at Kala Academy, Panaji. This will be the 14th edition of the renowned event which was otherwise annually held in Goa.

Minister for art and culture, Govind Gaude, on Monday said the guests this year will be motivational speaker Gaur Gopal Das, who will inaugurate the event with his session on Feb 24.

This will be followed by sessions by Hindi novelist Alka Sarogi, Padmashri Nivedita Bhide and adventurer and photographer Aditya Gupta. The last day of the event will feature naval officer and yachtsman Abhilash Tomy, who is known for sailing across the world on Feb 28.

“This is a flagship programme by the directorate of art and culture for which students and intellectuals across Goa eagerly wait every year,” the art and culture minister said.

This is the first time that the festival is being held after the Kala Academy reopened.
