Goa mahila Congress gets new president
Panaji: Congress appointed former Union minister Ramakant Khalap’s daughter-in-law, Pratiksha Narulkar Khalap, as the president of the Goa mahila Congress. She served as the North Goa mahila president, a post she received after handling the block’s responsibilities during the 2022 assembly elections.
AICC general secretary K C Venugopal announced that AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge approved the appointment of the presidents for mahila Congress units of six states and union territories on Thursday.
She is a homeopathic physician with a post-graduation in clinical research. She worked as a medical officer in a multispecialty hospital, following which she worked as a lead safety scientist for a multinational clinical research organisation for 10 years.
She started her journey in the party as a member of mahila Congress.
