Mauvin seekshalt on power scam case

Mauvin Godinho

on Thursday moved an application before the additional sessions court, Margao seeking a halt on the proceedings against him in the alleged power rebate scam, and urged the court to discharge him from the offences.

Godinho along with then chief electrical engineer T Nagarajan, then managing director of Mormugao Steel Ltd, V S Bandary; then executive director, Mormugao Steel, R K Radhakrishna; and then general manager of Glass Fibre division of Binani Zinc Ltd, K V S Krishnakumar are accused in the alleged Rs 4.5 crore scam.

On April 19, Nagarajan had moved a similar application which is currently being heard by the court.

The court has directed the prosecution to submit their reply on the application, and fixed the matter for arguments on May 23.
