Indian Navy Sailor stationed at INS Hansa air base in Vasco Goa died on Sunday after his wife hit him on the head in a fit of rage, said police officials.
The deceased was part of the aircraft handling crew at the naval airbase and was a resident of Uttar Pradesh.
Goa Police
identified the victim as
Kaushalendra Pratap Singh
who was working at INS Hansa and residing at the naval quarters at
Varunapuri
.
Police officials said that the couple was fighting on Sunday morning when in a fit of rage, Singh's wife snatched a wooden stick and struck her husband across his head.
According to the police, Singh died on the spot.
A team of police officials rushed to the site and detained the wife.
