‘No drugs are sold inside Sunburn’

Porvorim: Calangute MLA Michael Lobo on Monday said that drugs are “not sold inside the venue” of the Sunburn music festival. “There are around 70,000 people going into the festival, so how you are going to check (their) body, it is difficult. Somebody or the other is bringing (drugs) inside...not to sell. But drugs are consumed, it’s true. Incidents of drug overdose and deaths have happened,” he said in the house. Lobo said the festival cannot be held in South Goa if residents don’t want it there. “People of South Goa are very sensitive, they will decide, I am not going to talk on that,” he said. tnn
