Marathi Film Festival
will be held from June 16 to 18 at
Kala Academy.

’, a film based on former India cricketer
Sachin Tendulkar, will be among the many films, scheduled to be screened at the three-day festival.
National award winning Marathi films, such as Dashkriya, Kaasav and Ventilator will be screened, besides several other remarkable ones, such as Cycle, Take Care Good Night, Pimpal etc.
Fashion designer Vikram Phadnis’ directorial debut, ‘Hrudayantar’, which has a special appearance by Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan, will also be showcased. The festival will see the poster release of global star Priyanka Chopra’s Marathi film, ‘Kay Re Rascla.’
Besides screening in the prime city, the festival will also showcase its line-up at cinemas in the hinterlands of Goa.
“This festival will be taken to Goa’s interiors to start a dialogue among people about the content and importance of regional cinema. We hope that this arouses curiosity among the audience and piques their interest in Marathi films.” said festival co-organizer, Dyanesh Moghe.
