Panaji: Within hours after the Tillari canal was breached at Kudase, 14km from Dodamarg on the Maharashtra side, repair work started on Friday evening and it is likely to be completed within three days.

The state PWD executive engineer said that water supply to Bardez taluka will be restricted till the raw water supply from the Tillari canal is restored.

He said that the water supply timings to various localities across Bardez taluka may be changed depending on the availability of water at the water treatment plants.

Chief minister Pramod Sawant directed WRD officials to visit the site along with their counterparts from Maharashtra and take up repair work.
