BJP’s Parveen Joshi wins Faridabad mayor poll by over 3 lakh votes

Faridabad: BJP's mayoral candidate Parveen Joshi secured a resounding victory in the Faridabad municipal elections, winning by a record margin of 3,16,852 votes. Joshi received 4,16,927 votes while Lata Rani got 1,00,075 votes. AAP's Nisha Dalal Faujdar finished third with 29,977 votes.Joshi assured the people that the ‘Clean Town, Green Town' vision would soon be realised under her leadership. "Faridabad's people have placed their trust in me and I sincerely thank them. I am committed to making our city cleaner and greener," Joshi said after receiving her victory certificate.The municipal elections saw BJP securing 39 out of 46 wards. Six Independent candidates emerged victorious while Congress managed to win just one seat. Joshi's victory has further strengthened the BJP's dominance in Faridabad. Unlike other high-profile politicians, Joshi is known for staying away from the limelight while maintaining strong political connections within the party. Some of the notable winners include Mukesh Dagar (ward 1), Rajesh Dagar (ward 2), Ravi Kashyap (ward 3), Sangeeta Bhardwaj (ward 4), Sheetal Jaiveer Khatana (ward 5), Gayatri Devi (ward 6) and Savita Bhardana (ward 7). In ward 36, BJP's Kuldeep Singh Sahni was elected unopposed.
