GURGAON: The candidates who are preparing for the postgraduate teacher (PGT) recruitment exam scheduled for September 9 and 10 have written to the Haryana Public Service Commission to postpone the exam date as NCR, especially Delhi, as restrictions will be implemented in the region due to the upcoming G20 meet from September 8-10.

Several candidates from Delhi, Faridabad, Gurgaon, Noida, and other parts of NCR like Rewari and Bahadurgarh have applied for the exam and will face difficulty in reaching their exam centres. HPSC extended the dates of the second exam of PGT recruitment earlier scheduled for September 24 as it was clashing with the UPSC exam.

The traffic in Delhi will be regulated between 5am on September 8 and 11.59pm on September 10. The entire area inside Ring Road (Mahatma Gandhi Marg) will be considered a “regulated zone” within this stipulated time. Bonafide residents, authorised vehicles, and emergency vehicles will be allowed to travel throughout the New Delhi district. Passenger vehicles will also be allowed in the rest of the NCR. TOI could not reach HPSC for comments.
