Haryana organizes ‘Ratri Bhoj par Samvad’ for G-20 delegation attending Anti-Corruption Working Group meeting at Gurugram
GURUGRAM: The Haryana government organized a "Ratri Bhoj par Samvad" ( dialogue over dinner) in honour of G-20 delegations attending an anti-corruption working group meeting in Guurugram on Wednesday.
Chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar while welcoming the foreign guests at "Ratri Bhoj par Samvad" said that it is a matter of great pride for India to have assumed the G20 Presidency, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The state uses this opportunity to introduce the tradition and rich art culture of Haryana to the foreign delegates. At the dinner the delegates were served special dishes and sweets prepared from coarse grains (millets).
The foreign guests were welcomed with tilak and were introduced to the state's art and culture with presentation through traditional instruments and traditional folk songs. The representatives of countries like Canada, Italy, Austria, Mauritius, Switzerland and Indonesia, appreciated the hospitality of Haryana. They also appreciated the delicacies served during the ‘Ratri Bhoj par Samvad’ programme and painting exhibition based on art and culture.
During the ‘Ratri Bhoj’ prorgramme, the team of Information, Public Relations, Languages and Culture Department, Haryana, demonstrated the Haryanvi folk style at the venue; giving collective presentation of traditional folk dances Loor, Ghoomar, Dhamal, Phag, Googa Dhamoda etc, related to various festivals, crop ripening and other occasions in the state.
Along with this, flute players Subhash Ghosh and Suleman also gave a cultural presentation during the programme. On the occasion, Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatraya, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala along with other Haryana cabinet colleagues welcomed the Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) Science & Technology; Minister of State (Independent Charge) Earth Sciences; Minister of State PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances, Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space, Dr Jitendra Singh.
