How the Gurgaon–Faridabad–Noida RRTS corridor will transform NCR travel

​Haryana clears Gurgaon–Faridabad–Noida Namo Bharat corridor

The Haryana government has approved the alignment of the proposed Gurgaon–Faridabad–Noida Namo Bharat corridor, taking a significant step toward expanding high-speed regional connectivity in NCR. Chief minister Nayab Singh Saini termed the decision an important move in strengthening urban transport infrastructure across fast-growing cities.

​Six metro stations and two integrated hubs in Gurgaon

As part of the proposal presented by NCRTC, Gurgaon will get six metro-only stations along the alignment and two integrated RRTS-cum-metro hubs at IFFCO Chowk and Sector 61. These hubs will enable seamless transfers between high-speed regional trains and local metro services.

​Stations planned across key residential and commercial zones

The proposed metro stations in Gurgaon are planned at Sector 29, Millennium City Centre, Sector 52, Wazirabad, Sector 57 and Sector 58/61. These locations have been selected to serve densely populated residential neighbourhoods and commercial hubs, improving last-mile and intra-city travel.

​Dual-service model on a single corridor

NCRTC has proposed operating both Namo Bharat high-speed trains and metro services on the same alignment within the city. While RRTS trains will facilitate fast intercity movement between Gurgaon, Faridabad and Noida, metro services will cater to shorter, daily commuting needs within Gurgaon.

​64km corridor with major stretch in Haryana

The total length of the proposed corridor is 64km, of which 52km will fall within Haryana, covering key areas of Gurgaon and Faridabad. The project is estimated to cost around ₹15,000 crore and is expected to significantly reshape regional mobility patterns.

​Careful alignment to avoid ecological disruption

Officials said the route has been planned to serve upcoming sectors while avoiding environmentally sensitive zones such as Tau Devi Lal Biodiversity Park. Integration points have been designed to connect with Delhi Metro’s Yellow Line, Rapid Metro at Sector 61, and the proposed Gurgaon Metro network.

​Faridabad to get 16km integrated stretch

In Faridabad, a 16km section from Sainik Colony to Badshapur has been approved. The stretch will cover important localities such as NIT, Bata Chowk and Sectors 12 to 15, and will connect with Delhi Metro’s Violet Line, enhancing multimodal access.

​Airport-to-airport high-speed connectivity vision

The corridor is expected to provide seamless connectivity between IGI Airport in Delhi and the upcoming Noida International Airport in Jewar. This long-term vision could ease airport access for lakhs of commuters and support economic growth across NCR.

​Debate over starting point and underground alignment

Earlier, Gurgaon Metro Rail Limited suggested constructing the corridor underground within the city and beginning the stretch at Rajiv Chowk instead of IFFCO Chowk. The proposal argued that Rajiv Chowk serves denser residential and commercial zones and could generate stronger all-day ridership.

​Designed to reduce congestion and drive growth

The chief minister said the corridor will ease traffic pressure in Gurgaon and Faridabad, support sustainable mobility, and open new avenues for investment and employment. With the detailed project report set to be prepared soon, the project is positioned as a key pillar of Haryana’s long-term urban transport strategy.
