A total of 18 examination centres have been designated in the district, where 6,875 candidates will appear for the test
Gurgaon: The district administration on Friday announced stringent security and administrative measures for the NEET-UG 2026 examination, scheduled to be held on May 3.
Deputy commissioner Uttam Singh said Section 163 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) has been enforced across the district to regulate movement around examination centres and ensure the fair and peaceful conduct of the test. Eighteen examination centres have been designated in the district, where 6,875 candidates will appear for the test.
Under the provisions, assembly of people within a 200-metre radius of exam centres has been prohibited. The order also bans carrying weapons, parking vehicles, use of loudspeakers, and operation of Wi-Fi or any electronic devices in the restricted zone. Additionally, photocopy shops and coaching centres located within 500 metres of the centres have been directed to remain closed on the day of the examination.
The administration has imposed strict restrictions on items allowed inside examination premises. Mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, earphones, smartwatches, pen scanners, and all other electronic gadgets are completely prohibited. Candidates will also not be permitted to carry bags, purses, belts, jewellery, cameras, calculators, pen drives, or any written material. Only admit cards, a passport-size photograph, valid identity proof, and a transparent water bottle will be allowed.
To prevent malpractice, all examination centres will be equipped with CCTV surveillance, biometric verification systems, and mobile jammers. Police verification of examination staff and personnel deployed by agencies has also been completed.
Entry to examination centres will begin at 11am, while gates will close at 1.30pm. No candidate will be allowed entry after the stipulated time. The administration has advised candidates to arrive early and adhere to the prescribed guidelines to avoid inconvenience.
