Assam logs 2,046 fresh new Covid cases, 22 deaths

in Assam continued to decline for the third consecutive day as the state registered 2,046 fresh cases on Wednesday. While 132,557 tests were conducted, the state returned a positivity rate of 1.54%, with 22 people succumbing to the virus over the past 24 hours.

Golaghat district reported the highest number of cases at 228, followed by Kamrup-M at 207 cases.

On Tuesday, 2,169 cases were recorded in Assam, while on Monday the number of new cases in the state was 2,375.
