NEW DELHI: A person responsible for planting an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) ) in Guwahati has been apprehended by Assam police.
The individual, identified as Manab Kalita, was arrested in Hojai district.
According to a senior official of Assam police, "Jorhat Police have apprehended Manab Kalita from Kaki area in Hojai district, who was responsible for planting the IED in Guwahati."
The official added, "Jorhat Police are now handing him over to Guwahati Police for arrest in connection with their case."
