GUWAHATI: A mother-daughter duo from Assam were among the four people killed in the Delhi-Kamakhya Northeast Express mishap following derailment near the Raghunathpur station in Bihar's Buxar district on Wednesday night.
According to Railways, they have been identified as Usha Bhandari and her eight-old-year daughter Akriti.
The 33-year-old’s husband was also travelling with them from Delhi and were scheduled to go to his home in Sadiya district in the state. He has been handed over the two bodies.
Officials said that an ambulance has been provided to bring home the two bodies from the site of the accident and ex-gratia of Rs 10 lakh each has also been announced.
