Shillong: The lineup for the much-awaited Shillong Cherry Blossom Festival 2025, to be held on Nov 14 and 15, at the Polo Grounds here, will feature Irish rock band The Script, R&B superstar Jason Derulo, 3-time Grammy winner DJ Diplo, Pop icons Aqua, Bollywood actress and performer Nora Fatehi, besides a tribute to iconic artist late Zubeen Garg.
Announcing the headliners, CM Conrad K Sangma said, “This year’s festival promises to be a grand celebration of music, art, and culture, showcasing the rich diversity of our state. The line-up features an array of talented artists. I am also proud to announce that we have a special tribute to the legendary artist Zubeen Garg by musicians close to him”.
Talented local artists such as Meba Ofilia, Dappest and adL, rock band Girish and the Chronicles, and Arius would also take the festival stage.
The CM said the govt was hoping for more than 50,000 tourist footfall during the festival, which will have a range of activities such as the traditional ‘Mr and Ms Cherry Blossom’ competition, cosplay, and Cherry Blossom arm wrestling.
Festival zones will be set up across multiple grounds, including the stadium, main stage, the second ground, Polo and MFA ground.
