10-year-old girl dies in Hyderabad's Sheikpet road accident

HYDERABAD: A ten-year-old girl was killed in a road accident at Sheikpet, under the jurisdiction of Film Nagar Police Station, on Tuesday morning when a speeding lorry collided with the motorbike she was riding pillion with her father.

The incident occurred while the girl's father was dropping her off at school in Manikonda. According to police, the lorry hit the bike from the rear near Sheikpet, causing the girl to fall off and come under the lorry's wheels.

She died on the spot, while her father sustained injuries.

The girl, a Year 5 pupil at a private school in Manikonda, was the daughter of a man working for a vernacular news channel.

Film Nagar police have registered a case against the lorry driver and launched an investigation into the incident.
