As Telangana gears up for polls, thousands of names of dead people still in voters lists

Elections for the Telangana state assembly will be held on November 30. However, the final electoral rolls published on Oct 4 has the names of thousands of dead voters, across constituencies. By their own admission, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation officials have said there are at least 19,000 dead voters in the region.
While many of these voters, investigations have found, died in the last few years, some of them have been dead for 20 years.
