BRS ministers slam PM over BJP promises

Hyderabad: Health minister Harish Rao, along with cabinet colleagues, criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday, accusing him of failing to fulfil promises and neglecting the irrigation projects in Telangana. “Telangana people are witness to BJP’s role in obstructing vital projects, including irrigation projects in Palamuru. They didn't address the Krishna water dispute failed to set up a tribunal,” Harish Rao said.Harish Rao, while laying the foundation stone for a new medical college in Kandukur, said, “BJP has not supported the white coat revolution, but cooperated to white collar criminals.”Agriculture minister Niranjan Reddy criticised PM Modi for claiming to spend crores on road development while ignoring the significant toll taxes imposed on motorists using those roads. Rural development minister Dayakar Rao questioned the sincerity of promises like the tribal university and turmeric board. “Despite the state allocating land for the university, there was no response from the Centre over the years,” he said. tnn

PHED minister lays foundation stone for 3 water projects in Jaipur

Mahesh Joshi, the Public Health and Engineering Department minister, has laid the foundation stone for three urban water supply schemes in Jaipur, worth Rs 130 crore. These schemes were mentioned in the chief minister's budget announcement. The projects include renovation of pump houses, construction of new high reservoirs, and ensuring smooth drinking water supply to various areas. In other news, drinking water schemes have been inaugurated in Chennai and Lucknow, benefiting thousands of individuals. The Rajasthan Water Supply and Sewerage Management Board has also approved drinking water projects worth Rs 1,100 crore.

Harish alerts public over fever cases

Telangana has seen a slight increase in fever cases in the last 10 days, according to the state health minister. While there is no need to panic about malaria and dengue cases, citizens are advised to remain vigilant and seek medical attention at the nearest government hospital if experiencing fever symptoms. Similar situations have been reported in Andhra Pradesh, Ahmedabad, Thiruvananthapuram, and Mumbai, where cases of fever, dengue, and malaria have surged due to recent rainfall. Authorities are conducting door-to-door surveys and urging cleanliness to prevent mosquito breeding.

CM lays foundation stone for 27 projects

During his visit to Indore, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan inaugurated and laid foundation stones for 27 projects worth around Rs 1,500 crore. These projects include flyovers, hospitals, schools, and roads. Additionally, he distributed retrofitted scooters, laptops, and Smart Classes to individuals with disabilities. In other news, the Public Health and Engineering Department Minister in Jaipur initiated three water supply schemes with a cost of Rs 130 crore, while in Kanpur, the foundation stone was laid for a parallel bridge in Dadanagar.
