Constable booked for raping housewife in Mailardevpally

HYDERABAD: A constable of the Mailardevpally

police station

was booked for allegedly raping a housewife.

Mailardevpally police

on Wednesday said, based on a

complaint lodged

by the victim’s husband, a case was registered under

sections 376

(rape) and 506 (intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) against

constable G Paul.

Police were investigating the case and the constable was yet to be arrested. The victim and the constable knew each other as the culprit in the past had visited the victim’s house in connection to an investigation into a case.
