Hyderabad: The decibel levels of rapper Yoyo Honey Singh's performance at a city engineering college were brought down by Cyberabad police on Wednesday.
Honey Singh was at Gurunanak Engineering College in Ibrahimpatnam on Wednesday night to perform at the college annual day celebrations.
As the popular singer started belting out his hit numbers, Ibrahimpatnam police reached the spot and made the singer to stop the performance.
"The college administration did not obtain permission to organise a DJ event. So we have made them disconnect the DJ equipment and registered a case against the management under the city police Act," Ibrahimpatnam inspector P Jagadeeswar told TOI.
However, not playing a complete spoil sport, police allowed the singer to perform a few popular songs using microphone and speakers. "They have permission to use the mike. So we let the singer to sing a few songs using the mike and speakers. The DJ instruments were not allowed," the inspector said.
