Ex-BRS MLA may join Congress

Hyderabad: BRS former MLA from Nakrekal, Vemula Veeresham, is likely to join the Congress soon. He has been unhappy with the BRS leadership for denying him a ticket. Chirumarthi Lingaiah who defeated him in 2018 election from Nakrekal, and later joined BRS, has been renominated by CM KCR. Veeresham will be accompanied by former MP Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy to Delhi to join the Congress. Ponguleti has reportedly submitted a list of candidates from 12 constituencies in the state, seeking tickets for them. tnn

Venkat Reddy & wife join BRS in big setback to BJP

In a blow to the BJP's attempt to gain power in the upcoming assembly elections, Padma Venkat Reddy, a party corporator, and her husband, B Venkat Reddy, a senior BJP leader, have joined the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS). This move is seen as a setback for BJP's state chief G Kishan Reddy, as Amberpet constituency, a stronghold for the saffron party in Hyderabad, is affected. Mynampally quits BRS, no word yet on joining Cong

Malkajgiri MLA Mynampally Hanumanth Rao has resigned from BRS and is expected to join a new party. This comes after he criticized finance minister T Harish Rao for denying a ticket to his son. Although he was nominated again from Malkajgiri seat, it was likely he would be replaced with a new BRS candidate. Rao announced his resignation in a video message and expressed his desire to contest from Qutbullapur constituency. His strained relations with BRS started when he planned to launch his son from Medak seat. Former BRS leader Tummala Nageshwara Rao has joined Congress, and BJP corporators are also joining BRS. The Left parties are considering their seat matrix if the Congress does not clarify a pre-poll alliance.

Tummala quits BRS, joins Cong in Kharges presence

Former BRS leader Tummala Nageshwara Rao has joined the Congress party, distancing himself from the BRS due to not receiving a ticket for the upcoming assembly elections. He may be fielded from the Khammam segment. Nageshwara Rao had previously been with the Telugu Desam party before joining the BRS in 2014. The move is seen as a blow to the BRS and may bolster Congress' presence in Khammam. BJP leaders have criticized the BRS government, claiming that voting for them would lead to autocracy and ruin the state's future.
