Fake judge nailed in bid to settle land row

Hyderabad: A man conning people by claiming to be a judge was caught by the Special Operation Team (SOT), Rachakonda, along with his associate when they were allegedly trying to settle a land dispute. SOT officials said that the conman, N Narender, was previously arrested in nine different cases. The arrested associate, C Madhu Sudan Reddy, was an ex-serviceman and police seized a pistol from him. Cops are verifying his claim that it was a licensed weapon. Between 2014 and 2018, Narender was involved in different property-related offences including burglary in various parts of the state. Police had invoked PD Act against Narender in the past and he came out of jail in 2018. “After being released from jail he came to Hyderabad and met Santosh, a web designer from Ameerpet. With his help, Narender created a fake profile as an additional civil judge of Telangana high court and started cheating people,” Rachakonda deputy commissioner of police R Giridhar said. Cops said that after meeting Madhu Sudhan and coming to know that he had a pistol, Narender asked him to pose as his gunman.“In fact, in the past, Madhu Sudhan had approached Narender to help him settle a land dispute assuming that he was a judge. Narender agreed to help provided Madhu Sudhan posed as his gunman. “Hoping that his personal issue might be resolved by trusting Narender, Madhu Sudhan agreed,’’ a Rachakonda cop said.
