HYDERABAD: The Indian diaspora in the US has organised several activities bringing the community together with the emphasis being on physical and mental well-being.
The Women’s Sports Day organized by Telangana American Telugu Association (TTA) New York in collaboration with NYTTA.
Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Throw Ball, Badminton, Table Tennis, Carrom Board, Chess and more indoor games were organised on April 30 in New York.
“It was a perfect day out for a woman to stay active, build friendships and develop new skills for their physical and mental well-being. By emphasizing the many benefits of sports and creating opportunities for women to participate, we can help encourage more women to get involved in sports and lead healthier, more active lives,” said Deepika Reddy Nalla, member of TTA.
An educational seminar was also conducted by TTA recently which was addressed by Dr Vani Gaddam.
