HYDERABAD: It has been a common practice for politicians to block the road to organize a protest by putting motorists in great difficulty. On Wednesday,

Additional public prosecutor G Narayana during the trial produced witnesses to prove before the court that the accused blocked the highway 765 on July 30, 2015.
The protest was then done by the convicts demanding that Amangal mandal be declared a drought mandal. Following this protest, Amangal police registered a case on the 143 (Unlawful assembly), 341 (wrongful restraint) of IPC.
The court after hearing both the prosecution and defence, convicted the accused and directed them to pay a total penalty of Rs 3,500. If the accused fail to pay the penalty, then they will be imprisoned for 5 weeks.
