FSPV likely to power Mid Manair

HYDERABAD: Officials of the Telangana State Renewable Energy Development Corporation (TSREDCO), in a bid to use unconventional energy in the the irrigation sector, have submitted a feasibility report on the implementation of a floating

solar power

system (FSPV) for a 100 MW solar project at the Mid Manair reservoir in Rajanna Sircilla district.

“We are waiting for the state government’s nod for its implementation. The state has realised the importance solar power. We expect a decision after the ongoing Assembly sessions,” sources in TSREDCO told STOI. The source said that since it would be difficult to find the 5,000 acres of land TSREDCO needed for a ground mounted solar power system.
