M Radha Krishna Chowhan
has said it is not an offence to kill a person in
self-defence
under provisions of
law
.
He said the girls were well within their rights to defend themselves and the law permits them to kill someone in self-defence. He interacted with girls at an awareness programme conducted by MLSA at Government Girls School,
Golconda
, on
National Girl Child Day
on Sunday. Chowhan also enlightened them on various laws available for girls and
women
.
He also advised the girls to follow examples of great personalities from various fields and practise them in their day-to-day life. He said the children of government schools were no less to any student of a private institution.
Mohammed Afzal, legal aid panel lawyer, appraised the students about various facilities under legal services. Wazid Hashmi, headmaster, was present.
