HYDERABAD: Shortly after his release from Chanchalguda prison ACB sleuths arrested suspended HMDA Diretor K Purushotham Reddy in a criminal misconduct case. Earlier during the day, ACB arrested another HMDA official, B Bheem Rao in the same case.


Based on the complaint lodged by R Venkata Ramana and K S Vasu, a case of criminal misconduct was registered by the ACB against K Purushotham Reddy, B Bheem Rao, planning officer, HMDA and others.

The complainants alleged that the accused officials recommended technical sanction for construction of commercial complex by M/s Vyjayanth Developers in Puppalaguda village, Ranga Reddy on the land delineated and identified as radial road in master plan. Due to the sanction given by the accused, the land of the complainants which was near the radial road in the master plan, would be lost as the new road would cut into their lands, an ACB official said. During the probe ACB sleuths found out that the accused ecommended technical sanction for construction causing pecuniary advantage to M/s Vyjayanth Developers. On Thursday ACB conducted searches at Bheem Rao's house in Serilingampally and unearthed 6 crore worth disproportionate assets. Bheem Rao also was also arrested by ACB in the past.
