Hubby claims threat calls during Sana Iqbal's burial

HYDERABAD: Two days after the death of city woman biker, who rode 38,000 km across India, her husband claimed to have gotten threats from people blaming him for the accident.
Sana, had earlier one several occasions, spoken about her disturbed relationship with her husband. With her death coming as a shock to her family , Sana's mother alleged that the accident was a `cold blooded murder' planned by her husband Abdul

Nadeem for his part denied all allegations, but said he has been receiving threats.“I wanted to attend Sana's funeral and be a part of it to bid her a farewell. But even doctors in the hospital warned me not to go there without police protection. I could attend only the burial, that too for 10 minutes, as people personally approached me there and threatened me,“ Nadeem told TOI.

“If they continue to harass me and my family , I have to file a defamation case against them. It is a hard time for me as well,“ he said.

Sana's mother Shaheen Khan said that she is prepared for counter cases. “He might be correct in his part, but I also know that I am not wrong. In the course of investigation we will know the truth. I have left it to the court to decide and give justice,“ she said.

Police are waiting for postmortem report and motor vehicle inspection report to go ahead with the investigation.“It will take at least a week to get all the reports. It was surely an accident, but we are going ahead with investigation to find whether it was intentional or natural,“ said subinspector,
