Hyd man sets three puppies ablaze, held

Hyderabad: A petty thief was arrested for setting ablaze three puppies which came near him while he was sitting next to a bonfire on Monday night. The accused Sunil was in drunken condition. Based on the complaint by animal lover P Ravinder, Kukatpally police arrested him.Sunil, resident of Balaji Nagar in Kukatpally has a suspect sheet against him. According to inspector T Narsinga Rao, the accused “threw the puppies in an open pit and set them ablaze.” A case was registered against Sunil under sections 426 and 429 of IPC and Animal Cruelty Act. tnn
