Hyderabad: Friendship Day celebration had a tragic end after Canada returned woman dies in mishap
HYDERABAD: Six friends met after a long time to celebrate
On the occasion of Friendship Day, a group of friends decided to get together and they met at a pub in Kondapur. Some of these friends consumed liquor and then left the place in a car, allegedly driven by Abhishek.
``They left at about 11 pm. While they were going towards Madinaguda in a high end car driven by Abhishek, he drove it at high speed under the influence of alcohol. He lost control over the vehicle and it turtled,''
Aashritha and Tharuni who sat in the rear seat, got severely injured. They were immediately shifted to a private hospital in Kondapur where Aashritha was declared brought dead. Taruni and Sai Prakash are undergoing treatment.
The driver allegedly failed to realise that the 100 feet road on which they were travelling was to end and a narrow road of 60 feet was to start. Once the car got on to the 60 feet road, the driver veered the car to the right and ended up hitting a dumped debris and immediately the car turtled.
Officials said that due to the impact of the speed, Aashritha fell out of the car and suffered multiple injuries. "She came to India for a one month holiday. Sadly, she is the lone daughter for her parents," inspector said.
