heavy rainfall
. Police have launched a search operation.
The victim, K
Jahangir, from Viswanathpur village was attempting to cross a canal amid the heavy rainfall in the city. "The small canal was overflowing because of the heavy rains. He was seen holding two bags while crossing the canal when he accidentally lost his balance and fell. He got swept away into the stream," said

This incident occurred only days after another man,
Naveen Kumar, swept away into Saroornagar lake due to heavy rain on September 20 evening, due to strong rainwater.
Another incident, a 12-year-old
Sumedha Kapooriya
died after falling into an open drain in Neredmet, while her body was recovered from Banda Cheruvu lake two kilometres away.
