Hyderabad: Woman judge's visit to Sisu Griha saves life of an infant
HYDERABAD:
Nutricia Neocate powder, amino acid nutrition, a substitute for milk, is the life-saving powder that keeps such infants alive. Doctors told Kiran Mahi about the problem and explained to her the urgent need to get some packets to keep the baby alive. Following her appeal, four donors, Kiran, Sanjay, Santhosh, and Srinivas from Nizamabad, came forward and arranged sufficient stock of the essential powder worth Rs 15,000 for the next one month. The baby may not need it after attaining the age of a few months. But this is a crucial time. This is where the call given by state legal services authority patron in chief and chief justice Raghavendra Singh Chauhan to all the DLSAs in the state to visit and inquire about the well being of the inmates of the children homes, old age homes, etc becomes relevant.
"Following our HC’s directive principal district judge Sri Sudha asked us to visit all the homes", Kiran Mahi said. Wherever we came across people caught in lockdown related problems, we are mobilizing the state machinery and ensuring that the required help reaches the struggling people, she told TOI. In fact, Sri Sudha, who is also the chairperson of the Nizamabad DLSA, organized a blood donation camp in the court premises and collected 51 units of blood and handed over the same to the Red Cross society. Sri Sudha too donated blood for the cause. Expressing a sense of happiness over the way several people are responding with huge donations and groceries to help the stranded and the poor during this lockdown, Kiran Mahi mentioned the names of Indur Youth Association, paralegal volunteer Rakesh and scores of others who gave more than 4 quintals of rice, groceries, etc to assist scores of poor families.
