The solar-powered Healthway Cycling Track along the Outer Ring Road (ORR) in Hyderabad was unveiled by Telangana minister KT Rama Rao on Sunday. The 23-km track features a global design.

According to the Hyderabad Cycling Revolution (HCR), a cycling community boasting over 10,000 members, the track will be accessible round the clock.

“What truly distinguishes the Hyderabad track is the installation of 16,000 solar panels on its roof, a feat only paralleled by South Korea,” said KTR.

"This innovative approach not only bolsters the city’s efforts to reduce carbon emissions but also solidifies its position as the most environmentally friendly cycling track globally,” KTR added.

At all the access points, including Narsingi, Kollur, TSPA, Vattinagulapalli and Nanakramgua, there are amenities such as docking stations, health emergency facility, food stalls and many more, an HCR member said.
