ED sources confirmed that searches were conducted at five locations, including the residences and offices of Satyanarayana, his auditor Ganmani Venkateswara Rao, and another accused, Gadde Brahmaji. These searches were based on an Enforcement Case Information Report (ECIR) filed following an FIR lodged by Arilova police under Visakhapatnam Police Commissionerate.

Recently, Satyanarayana obtained anticipatory bail from the Andhra Pradesh High Court in a local police case involving charges of criminal conspiracy, cheating, forgery, and criminal intimidation. The case originated from a complaint filed by Ch. Jagadeeswarudu, Managing Director of Hayagreeva Constructions.

The complainant alleged that Satyanarayana and others attempted to grab 12.5 acres of land allotted to him by the govt for constructing an old age home, orphanage, and houses for the elderly, using forged documents.

Ch. Jagadeeswarudu, Managing Partner of Hayagreeva Farms & Developers and a resident of Adarsh Nagar, Visakhapatnam, stated that he and his wife, Radha Rani, owned Haigreevalnfratech Projects Limited since 2006. In 2008, they were granted 12.51 acres in Yendada village by the Govt of Andhra Pradesh for senior citizen and orphan housing. The land was registered with the Sub Registrar Office, Madhurawada, in 2010.

Jagadeeswarudu claimed that auditor Venkateswara Rao introduced him to MVV Satyanarayana of MVV Builders and Gadde Brahmaji for project development. An MOU was signed in 2020, but the accused allegedly forged signatures and fabricated sale documents.

The complainant further alleged that they were forced to sign blank papers under duress and that the accused conspired to seize their valuable property, threatening them with severe consequences.

MVV Satyanarayana is well-known in the Telugu film industry, having produced films like Geethanjali (2014), Abhinetri (2016), Luck Unnodu (2017), and Neevevaro (2018). In politics, he won the Visakhapatnam MP seat in 2019 but lost in the 2024 elections, running on a YSR Congress ticket.
