NEW DELHI: The Mahabubabad Lok Sabha constituency in Telangana witnessed active participation during Phase 4 of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, held on May 13, 2024, with a robust voter turnout of 71.85%. The prominent candidates in the 2024 elections for Mahabubabad included Maloth Kavitha from the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), Prof. Azmeera Seetaram Naik from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and Balram Naik Porika from the Indian National Congress (INC).

Mahabubabad, nestled in the North Telangana region, is predominantly rural and reserved for Scheduled Tribes. Encompassing districts like Bhadradri, Mahabubabad, Mulugu, and Warangal, it holds strategic significance along the Pakala River. Established in October 2016 from the former Warangal district, Mahabubabad is administratively divided into two revenue divisions: Mahabubabad and Thorrur, comprising 16 mandals.
According to the 2011 census, Mahabubabad had a population of 774,549 with a nearly equal gender distribution, a population density of 270 individuals per square kilometer, and a literacy rate of 57.1%. The constituency boasts political diversity with seven legislative assembly segments, underlining its significance in regional politics.
