The NIA officials filed a petition seeking eight-day custody of Rahman, Hussaini and the Yazdani brothers, stating that more information needs to be extracted from them and they need to be taken to various parts of the country.

The counsel for Yazdanis, MdAzeem, raised objections over the NIA plea seeking custody of the brothers again. "Already, they were in custody for 12 days and the investigation agency is not citing any new reason for seeking the custody of Ibrahim and Ilyas, except the previously mentioned ones. Hence, we requested the court not to give NIA custody of the two,'' Azeem, representing Yazdanis, told TOI.

The court, after hearing both the parties, granted NIA eight-day custody of the four IS suspects.
