Police issue notice to Ram Gopal Varma in cyber case

HYDERABAD: Cyber crime police of the city have issued a notice to movie director Ram Gopal Varma in a case booked against him for allegedly morphing the photos of evangelist and political leader, KA Paul.


In the morphed photograph tweeted by Varma a week go, KA Paul was seen handing over a censor board certificate of the Telugu movie Amma Rajyamlo Kadapa Biddalu to Ram Gopal Varma.

Based on the complaint of Paul’s secretary who alleged that Varma morphed the original photo by replacing the former President Pranab Mukherjee with himself,

police registered a case against Varma under sections 469 , 509 and relevant sections of the IT Act. “We have sent a notice to Varma asking him to appear before the investigation officer for questioning on Monday,” said additional DCP KCS Raghu Vir.
