Russia-Ukraine crisis: AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi meets family of Indian forced to fight in war; seeks safe return

Owaisi stated that after meeting the family, he contacted the office of the Foreign Secretary, which informed him that efforts are underway to ensure Ahmed’s return.
He added that he later learned of three more people in similar situations and appealed to the Ministry of External Affairs, the Foreign Secretary, and the Indian Ambassador to Russia to facilitate their safe return.
"After the family met me, I contacted the office of the Foreign Secretary, which informed me that efforts are underway to bring him back. Later, I came to know that three more such people are there. I appeal to the MEA, EAM, Foreign Secretary, and the Indian Ambassador to Russia to bring them back safely. The government has repeatedly warned people not to go to Russia, yet a group is misleading and making these innocent people sign contracts to join the war, " Owaisi added.
Owaisi also noted that despite repeated government warnings against traveling to Russia, certain groups continue to mislead individuals, coercing them into signing contracts to join the conflict.
