Telangana is vexed with BRS: Kishan
Back to autocracy if BRS voted to power
BJP's state chief G Kishan Reddy has stated that only the saffron party can protect democracy in Telangana, while voting for BRS would lead to autocracy. He urged the people to give BJP a chance, claiming that all other parties have had their governments. Reddy also alleged that Congress and BRS have the same DNA and warned against the debt burden and land selling that would come with a BRS government. He appealed to Sangareddy district to support BJP in the elections.
Telangana polls: BRS balm for rebels, buffer in poll delay rumour
The BRS party in Hyderabad has managed to avoid a rebel threat for now, although a few seats are still causing problems for the party. Rebellion against party candidates is limited to a few assembly segments, while sitting MLAs and candidates have convinced local leaders and ticket hopefuls in the rest of the segments. The party is expected to deal with the rebellion in a few constituencies with the help of party leaders. Some sitting MLAs and candidates are demanding immediate announcements of their candidatures.
Telangana: Rahul Gandhi an 'outdated' leader, can't match speed of KCR, says BRS leader Kavitha
The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has criticized Rahul Gandhi, calling him an "outdated leader" as the Congress party prepares for the upcoming Telangana assembly elections. The Congress plans to announce its five guarantees for Telangana, similar to its successful strategy in Karnataka earlier this year. However, the BRS leader, K Kavitha, claims that the promises made by the Congress have already been implemented by the BRS government. The BRS also sees itself as an alternative to the Congress at the national level due to Rahul Gandhi's inability to counter Prime Minister Narendra Modi effectively.
