Shah asked CM K Chandrasekhar Rao if he had forgotten his pledge to appoint a Dalit as CM of Telangana.

Addressing a public meeting in Suryapet, Shah said: "The two parties (BRS & Congress) work only for the welfare of their own families. KCR is always thinking of making his son, K T Rama Rao, chief minister. Sonia Gandhi is always worried about making her son the PM. Please bless BJP in the ensuing election."

Shah said PM Modi had ensured that National Commission for Backward Classes was in place constitutionally, for the first time since Independence.
