In an effort to secure the substantial support of the Backward Class voters, which make up over 50% in Telangana, Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced on Friday that if the BJP triumphs in the November 30 state assembly election, a leader from this community would be chosen as the chief minister, according to Sribala Vadlapatla's report.
