Telangana assembly polls: Former BRS leader Tummala Nageswara Rao may join Congress today
HYDERABAD: TPCC chief A Revanth Reddy said that there would be many joinings at Sonia Gandhi’s Tukkuguda rally on September 17.
Revanth along with AICC state in charge Manikrao Thakre and other top leaders met former minister Tummala Nageswara Rao of BRS at his residence on Friday and urged him to join Congress in the presence of Sonia.
Though Tummala did not announce it formally, sources said he is likely to join Congress either on Saturday or during Sonia’s rally on Sunday.
Meanwhile, AICC general secretary KC Venugopal did not give any clarity on weather YSRTP chief YS Sharmila would be joining the rally or not. Suspended BJP leaders Jitta Balakrishna Reddy and former MLA Yennam Srinivas Reddy are likely to join Congress at the rally. Meanwhile, Chennur former BRS MLA Nallala Odelu joined the Congress on Friday. He had joined Congress during Priyanka Gandhi’s meeting in May but went back to BRS.

Papam a good guy joinig the wrong party and could lose and even if he wins what can he do as the BRS will continue and he might change kanduvas again doing the Ghar Wapsi. But then coming out of retirement and contesting polls is no guarantee for a win. He is already facing “ competition” within the party not to speak of from BRS.Read allPost comment
