Youth Congress launches free doctor consultation for Covid-19 patients in Telangana
HYDERABAD: All
People from anywhere in the state can call on 040-40527748 between 8 am and 8 pm daily. The details of the caller or the patients would be registered and depending upon the ailment, either a physician, pulmonologist and other specialists would call back the patients.
The doctors will make video call if the caller or patient has a smart phone or voice call in case of other phone and prescribe medicine and treatment for fever, other ailments and mainly Covid-19 treatment, all this free of cost, said AICC secretary Sampath Kumar.
Youth Congress state president Shivasena Reddy said the free doctor consultation service was launched as part of Rahul Gandhi cares. “As on date, about 27 doctors, presently working in private and government sectors, have agreed to provide free consultation as part of their responsibility towards the society,” he said while extending thanks to them.
The youth congress is trying to rope in more doctors to make it a 24x7 facility. Sampath and Shivasena alleged that the Covid-19 task force constituted by chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has failed to extend medical equipment in rural areas to fight Covid-19.
A majority of the government hospitals in the districts do not have CT scam machines and medical ventilators, they said.
