Arms seized in Churachandpur

Imphal: A joint team of Assam Rifles and Churachandpur police on Friday seized a huge cache of arms, explosives and other “war-like stores” in the Kuki-Zo-Hmar-dominated district. A 5.56mm M4 A1 assault rifle and a 9mm pistol, both with magazines, seven single-barrel rifles, 12 improvised mortars were among the weapons found at Langvon village, the AR said, reports K Sarojkumar Sharma.
