Cocomi ends social boycott of Manipur govt

Imphal: The coordinating committee on Manipur integrity (Cocomi) on Wednesday announced it has withdrawn the social boycott of Manipur government, reports N Benson Singh. During a media briefing held at its Lamphel office, coordinator Jeetendra Ningomba said, “On August 6, after a discussion and putting into action the opinions of the people of the state, Cocomi decided to boycott the government for turning a blind eye on the ongoing unrest and violence.” He said the decision to boycott the government resulted in nothing positive.

Akbar in chair, BJP MLAs boycott oath ceremony
